Kabel straight

Kabel straight yaitu kabel yang memiliki cara pemasangan yang sama antara ujung satu  dengan ujung yang lainnya. Kabel straight digunakan untuk menghubungkan 2 device yang berbeda. Urutan standar kabel straight adalah seperti dibawah ini yaitu sesuai dengan standar TIA/EIA 368B (yang paling banyak dipakai) atau kadang-kadang juga dipakai  sesuai  standar TIA/EIA 368A. Contoh penggunaan kabel straight adalah sebagai berikut :

1.     Menghubungkan antara computer dengan switch

2.     Menghubungkan computer dengan LAN pada modem cable/DSL

3.     Menghubungkan router dengan LAN pada modem cable/DSL

4.     Menghubungkan switch ke router

5.     Menghubungkan hub ke router

FUNGSI HARDWARE

Ø CPU (Central Processor Unit)

Perangkat pengolah atau pemroses data dalam komputer adalah prosesor atau lengkapnya adalah mikroprosesor, namun umumnya pengguna komputer menyebutnya sebagai CPU (Central Processor Unit). CPU merupakan otak bagi sebuah system komputer.

Tugas CPU adalah melaksanakan dan mengawal keseluruhan operasi komputer sehingga bisa dikatakan hampir keseluruhan pemikiran dilaksanakan disini, sehingga sering dinamakan sebagai otak komputer. Kesimpulan dari kedua PC di atas adalah:

1.  CPU

Processor Intel Processor Core i5

Laptop Sony Vaio S-Series memiliki processor intel processor core i5 yang memiliki 2 inti prosesor (dual core). Akan tetapi, dengan tersedianya Hyper-threading membuatnya tampil seakan memiliki 4 inti prosesor. Turbo boost menjadi andalannya dalam hal performa. Sementara itu, VGA terintegrasinya sudah mencukupi untuk pemutaran film HD 1080p, bahkan film Blu-Ray. Jika perlu, beberapa game 3D ringan pun bisa dimainkannya.

Processor Intel Pentium P6200

Laptop Acer 4740 Z ini memiliki Processor P6200. Processor ini termasuk processor yang sudah bagus karnea sudah setara dengan processor core 2 duo walupun masih lebih unggul seri core i tapi sudah hampir mengikuti hanya masih kalah generasi saja.

2.  Ukuran Ram

Ram dari kedua PC diatas berbeda. Hal ini juga menujukkan bahwa semakin besar ukuran Ram, maka kecepatan dalam mengakses data juga lebih cepat. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa laptop sony lebih unggul daripada laptop acer.

3.  Operating system

Pada sony menggunakan Windows 8 Single Language 64-bit dan pada Acer menggunakan Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit. Perbedaan windows 7 dan 8 ini terletak pada Windows 8 memungkinkan Anda untuk melakukan scaling atau pengubahan ukuran ke resolusi layar, ukuran layar, dan densitas pixel yang berbeda. Anda dapat menggunakan Windows 8 di berbagai tempat mulai dari Windows phone sampai kepada layar 30 inchi dengan resolusi 2560×1600. Sebagian besar aplikasi Windows 8 akan didesain untuk secara otomatis mengatur dirinya sendiri di berbagai ukuran layar dan menampilkan lebih banyak atau lebih sedikit konten berdasarkan ukuran.
